    • The Hwa Rang Do European Black Sash Conference 2009

    The second Hwa Rang Do European Black Sash Conference will be held by HRD 8° dan GrandMaster Taejoon Lee, eldest son of the Supreme Grand Master Dr. Joo Bang Lee (Founder of Hwa Rang Do) - from 3rd to 5th of June.

    If You want to attend the EU Black Sash Conference You need to arrive one day before.

    June 2nd, 2009, Tuesday - ARRIVAL - Grand Master Lee's arrival at Pisa Airport is planned at 11.40am.

    The Italian HRD/TSD instructors and students are ready to help the participants for the transportation from the airport to the hotels.

    Please let us know the details of your travel plans as soon as possible so we can better manage the transportation (Contacts).

     

    After the great success of the first EU Black Sash Conference (2008), the main goal of the EU Black Sash Conference 2009 is to enforce more and more the standard of HRD teaching and techniques in Europe. Practical and Theoretical parts have been planned. The GrandMaster Taejoon Lee will manage and teach during the conference. It's a great opportunity to learn and improve our capabilities both as instructors and HRD students.

     

    Please be aware that the event is open only to instructors, assistant instructors and apprentice instructors that really teach HRD/TSD or assist the main instructors.

    • Apprentice Instructor (TSD 1st dan that already teaches TSD): Euro 150.00 - 3 days

    Practice: TSD & HRD Color Belt techniques review.
    Theory: The results of the 1st annual European HRD black sash conference, standardisation of the TSD classes & development of TSD in Europe, the TSD Instructor: the relationship with the students, the way to teach, the structure of the TSD class, etc...

    June 4th, 2009, Thursday -  2nd European Black Sash Conference - Day 2
    1. 1st session of the day - Practice: 09.00 - 12.00

    Practice: HRD 1st dan techniques review.
    Theory: Standardization of the HRD classes & development of HRD in Europe, the status of the HRD schools in Europe, responsibilities, instructors, schools, opportunities, etc...

    June 5th, 2009, Friday -  2nd European Black Sash Conference - Day 3
    1. 1st session of the day - Practice: 09.00 - 12.00
    2. Break for lunch: 12.00 - 13.00
    3. 2nd session of the day - Practice: 13.00 - 17.00
    4. 3rd session of the day - Theory: 18.00 to 21.00

    DETAILS:
    Practice: HRD 2nd dan (or greater degree) techniques review.
    Theory: Budo International and HRD publications in EU, standardization of the special classes, how to use and introduce Goo Too Gi, Kyuk Too Gi, Kumdo to spread HRD, the way to teach, etc.

     

    Chianni (PI) is the place of the Hwa Rang Do European Black Sash Conference (3rd-5th June 2009):

     

    Chianni is a medieval village built on the top of a hill which dominates the Valley of the Era; this zone is rich of vineyards and its production yields tasty and appreciated wines.

    Chianni is a very calm place surrounded by wide open country.

    Remarkable tourist attractions near Chianni are the "San Donato's Pieve", reconstructed in the 19th century, and the "Chiesa della Compagnia" (Church of the Company). ->

    Other distinctive places in the heart  of Tuscany that can be easily reached from  Chianni are:

    • Volterra, notorious for its Etruscan crocks and alabaster works ->
    • San Gimignano, famous for its towers and its white wine "La Vernaccia". ->
    • Colle di Val D'Elsa, well-known for its ancient suburb and for its crystals. ->
    • Monteriggioni, for its very peculiar Castle. ->
    • Pienza, for the tasty cheese. ->

    How to reach the place of the event:

     

    If you get to Pisa by airplane

    • take the train line from "Pisa Aeroporto" to "Pontedera", then take the bus line number 1 directed to "Chianni" (the bus station is in the square near the train station)

    If you travel by train

    • plan your trip up to "Pontedera",then take the bus line number 1 directed to "Chianni" (the bus station is in the square near the train station)

    If you travel by car

    • after leaving the highway (A1 or A12), follow the FI-PI-LI road until the exit "Pontedera Ponsacco"; then follow map indications.

     

    There are a lot of different opportunities for accommodation. You can choose where and how much to spend. Moreover, this year, You can choose and book your accommodation online or by phone.
